Hi! Thank you for taking the time to visit My Little Bugs webpage!
My Little Bugs is a semi-annual children's pop-up consignment event hosted by The Plaid Penguin (my consignment business because I love thrifting and the environment!). Through hosting the My Little Bugs sale, I hope to promote family, community, affordability, and sustainability. This event provides an opportunity for savvy moms (like me!) to buy and sell gently used children's items and clothing.
What about the name?! My Little Bugs was born in 2014 by Courtney, a busy mom of three, who loved selling and shopping at consignment. The name then came from the nickname she would use with her kids, calling them "bug". After a few years Courtney's "bugs" along with their activities and interests grew. Courtney realized that My Little Bugs wasn't getting the attention it deserved and that is where I come in as the current owner. My name is Heather and like Courtney, I LOVE consigning!
I tried selling on-line but it just wasn't my thing. When Courtney announced she wouldn't be continuing I couldn't stand the thought of life without Little Bugs. As a full-time mom of two active children, I found consigning fit perfectly into my busy schedule. The best part is my kids love it too! They look forward to each sale as an opportunity to get 'new' toys. They don't even complain about cleaning up and selecting toys to sell! I feel truly blessed to be stepping into Courtney's shoes. She is an amazing woman!
